Esco PowderMax Powder Hood Balance Enclosure (PW1-3A2) provides users with a stable and reliable balance work area for weighing, mixing, and dispensing hazardous powders to 4 decimal places. The airflow of this balance enclosure is directed inward to protect the users, while also being aerodynamically designed to reduce turbulence. This design not only provides maximum containment but also minimizes the chance that air drafts will impact a sensitive balance. All exhaust air passes through a HEPA filtration system removing pretty much all particulate matter.
The work area is 3ft wide, with a Phenolic resin work area, with 0.2” acrylic sidewalls, and a 13 degree sloped front to help eliminate operator fatigue. The ergonomic apertures for hands and arms allow for easy movement while still protecting the operator with a curved front edge to minimize turbulence and improve comfort. At the rear of this powder, hood are two access ports for electrical cords to pass through. The work area of this powder weighing hood is also large enough to accommodate most analytical balances. The exterior features Esco enclosures ISCOCIDE antimicrobial coating to help keep contamination at bay.
Parameters on the ESCO encolure are controlled and monitored by the up top command center, monitoring filter load, blower activation, and light switch. This powder containment hood is also set on a mobile cart with plenty of storage and casters allowing it to move to where it’s needed.
