NEDD8 activating enzyme E1 subunit 1 (NAE1), also known as amyloid precursor protein binding protein-1 (APP-BP1), is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 16q22.1. The encoded protein is ubiquitously expressed in neural and non-neural tissues.
