Cyclohexane, Reagent, ACS is used as a nonpolar solvent, in the calibration of differential scanning calorimetry and other industrial applications including a chemical intermediate. The distinctive detergent-like odor of cyclohexane is reminiscent of cleaning product and is sometimes used in cleaning products as a fragrance enhancer.
