The Micro IV has a slot for an electrochemical sensor. Smart Sensor technology allows for quick and easy sensor replacement. A wide range of EC sensors is available for a variety of toxic gases, hydrogen and oxygen with different measuring ranges such as ppm and vol %. This makes the Micro IV suitable for monitoring dangers from gases such as ammonia, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen as well as a lack or excess of oxygen. Optionally, an electric pump can be attached to the device to safely clear confined spaces and containers.

Safety and operation
The Micro IV is certified for use in hazardous areas up to Ex zone 1. It is also protected against the ingress of water and dust according to protection class IP54. The robust ABS housing is triple-metallized and additionally protected against shocks and vibrations by optional covers made of rubberized polycarbonate. Its compact design, very low weight and the convenient carrying clip ensure optimal handling. The Micro IV is operated using three buttons and the backlit display.

Alarm and battery life
Whenever a threshold is being exceeded, the Micro IV warns its wearer with a visual signal and loud horn (95 db(A)). A single Mignon battery will give it up to six month of operating time. The optional pump has its own power supply and does therefore not affect the lifetime of the unit.

Accessories
If the optional G200 pump is attached, the Micro IV can be used to safely analyze confined spaces. The DI220 readout device enables you to configure the device transfer data to a PC.
