L-Aspartic Acid is a nonessential amino acid. Aspartic acid is used as a component of parenteral and enteral nutrition. In pharmaceutical agents aspartic acid is used as an ammoniac detoxicating agent, hepar function accelerator and fatigue refresher. Aspartic acid is also widely utilized for mineral supplementation in the form of its potassium, magnesium or calcium salts.
