LabChem® CERIC AMMONIUM SULFATE, 0.1N (0.1M) is a standardized aqueous solution of ceric ammonium sulfate, prepared and assayed to an exact normality. The cerium(IV)/cerium(III) couple is a strong, stable one-electron oxidant that, unlike permanganate, gives a colorless reduced product and does not require the same level of protection from light.
