This wide range of antibiotics is ideal for the prevention or control of microbial contaminants in cell culture applications. Antibiotics prevent the overgrowth of bacteria, yeast, fungi, or mycoplasma which can adversely affect cell growth. Low toxicity, broad antimicrobial spectrum, minimizing the formation of resistant microorganisms, and eliminating contamination should all be considered when selecting an antibiotic. Antibiotics should be used in a limited and controlled environment as they can suppress the level of contamination so that it is undetectable and cause certain microorganisms to become resistant.All salt solutions have the same low endotoxin levels as the liquid basal media. Supplied in PETE bottles and shipped at ambient temperature. Recommended storage 15 to 30°C (59 to 86°F). Note: pH of 10X solutions must be adjusted following dilution to 1X concentration.
