The PLAS-LABS Rabbit Restrainers are designed with several standard features to ensure animal safety, comfort, and ease of use. Each unit has highly polished edges to prevent chafing, particularly around the neck, and a non-slip surface that provides better footing while helping to calm the animal — making the process safer and gentler on the foot pads. The clear acrylic construction helps retain body warmth, effectively eliminating the risk of hypothermia. A uniquely curved back butt plate, designed to be anatomically correct, minimizes the risk of back injury. The vertical head bars are adjustable and can be easily removed if not needed, and a rear access hole is provided for pyrogen testing (not available on model 501-TC). The stainless steel pin offers several fine adjustment points for the neck plate, allowing precise positioning. The entire unit can be sanitized in a cage washer at temperatures up to 180°F (82°C) or sterilized chemically, and non-slip base pads ensure the unit remains stable during use.
