The Puritan Lim Broth Transport Medium, 5mL is a selective enrichment medium designed for the qualitative isolation of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) from clinical specimens. Each vial contains 5mL of Lim Broth with Colistin and Nalidixic Acid in a 16 x 100mm screw-cap tube with a light blue cap. The formulation promotes the selective growth of GBS while inhibiting gram-negative organisms such as Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis, making it ideal for diagnostic microbiology applications.
