The Puritan UniTranz-RT™ Universal Transport Medium Collection System is designed for the collection, transport, and preservation of viruses, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Ureaplasma specimens. The transport medium contains antimicrobial agents to minimize bacterial and fungal contamination and glass beads that enhance specimen release and dispersion during vortexing. This advanced collection system features a self-centering leakproof cap for secure transport and easy swab removal and disposal. Each kit includes two PurFlock Ultra® swabs, one elongated swab (25-3706-U) and one ultra fine swab (25-3317-U), both scored at 100mm to accommodate different collection sites and provide reliable specimen collection. Suitable for PCR and rapid diagnostic testing when validated by the test manufacturer or laboratory, the medium is available in 1mL and 3mL fill volumes and remains stable at room temperature. Manufactured with premium medical-grade plastic components for enhanced shelf life, this system is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. Made in the USA.
