The Retsch MM 500 nano is a high‑energy, bench‑top mixer mill designed for ultrafine grinding. Built for dry, wet, and cryogenic milling, it delivers particle sizes in the nanometer range. Its high frequency and optimized jar design allow for fast, efficient pulverization with minimal heating.

Key Features

• Max oscillation frequency: 35 Hz, for high energy impact and efficient grinding.
• Final fineness: ~0.1 µm (depending on material) for ultrafine/nano grinding.
• Material feed size up to about ≤ 10 mm.
• Two grinding stations (two jars) allow processing of up to ~2 × 45 ml sample batch at once.
• Screw‑lock jars (50, 80, 125 ml) that are pressure‑tight (up to ~5 bar), with safety closure. 
• Flat lid design to make full use of jar volume, especially for wet grinding or fibrous samples. 
• Multiple jar materials available: stainless steel, tungsten carbide, zirconium oxide etc., to avoid contamination depending on sample.
• Digital control interface, with storable SOPs (standard operating procedures) and cycle programs (up to 99 repeats) for reproducible routines.
