The "Melt & Pour" Versatility: Unlike pre-poured petri dishes which have a limited shelf life (drying out over weeks), agar stored in a sealed glass tube remains fresh for months or years.

1. Preparation: The user simply heats the tube in a boiling water bath or heating block until the agar melts, cools it to ~45-50°C, and pours it into a sterile petri dish.

2. Customization: The liquid phase offers a perfect opportunity to add supplements. Before pouring, researchers can add antibiotics (like Chloramphenicol or Tetracycline) to make the medium highly selective against bacterial overgrowth, or neutralizers (like Lecithin) for environmental sampling.

3. Perfect Volume: The 20mL fill is the industry standard volume required to fill one 100x15mm petri dish, ensuring a consistent agar depth every time.
