This Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) is specially formulated with Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 to meet United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards for microbial surface monitoring and environmental testing in cleanroom and controlled environments. TSA serves as a general-purpose nutrient-rich medium that supports the growth of a wide range of aerobic and facultative anaerobic organisms, including bacteria and fungi commonly encountered in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, compounding, and medical device manufacturing settings.

The addition of Lecithin (neutralizes quaternary ammonium compounds) and Polysorbate 80 (neutralizes phenolic compounds) enhances the media’s ability to neutralize residues from common disinfectants and sanitizers, helping ensure accurate recovery of viable organisms from surfaces, equipment, and personnel gloves during routine environmental monitoring. This makes it an ideal solution for sterility assurance programs, GMP compliance, and cleanroom validations.

Each plate is pre-filled with 20mL of media, poured into durable, sterile, polystyrene 100 x 15mm Petri dishes. Plates are manufactured under strict quality control standards to ensure consistency, sterility, and performance. Optional triple wrapping and gamma irradiation (if available) ensure suitability for cleanroom introduction.
